Bc4 d6 {[#] Most people I have played with go for 3. Qa5+ followed by 4. Bc5+. Probably wishing to avoid 4. d4 and 5. Nf3 which would make him retreat both his dark-squared Bishop and Queen, he chooses to make way for his white-squared Bishop.} 4. Nc3 Nf6 5. Nf3 Be7 6. O-O {Preparing assualt on the f-file with the f7 square already threatened by my Bishop on c4. } O-O 7. d4 {Discovered attack on the pawn at f4.} h6 8. Bxf4 Nh7 {[#] I was surprised by this move. Maybe preparing g5 to make the f4 Bishop retreat.} 9. Qe1 {A little premature or maybe an outright blunder but I was preparing to go to either g3 or h4 when the time is right.} Ng5 { Accomplishes nothing really. Saves me some time from doubling rooks on the f-file if he captures my Knight on f3.} 10. Nd5 {Gets rid of Black’s dark-squared bishop.} Nxf3+ 11. Rxf3 Bg5 12. Qg3 Bxf4 13. Rxf4 {Now black is in trouble.} Nd7 14. Raf1 Nb6 15. Nf6+ Kh8 16. Nh5 Rg8 {A desperate attempt to save his position.} 17. Bxf7 Be6 $4 {Blunder! [#]} 18.
